Join our volunteer historians and fellow citizens at upcoming conferences, interactive workshops, and historical walking seminars across Chauny and the surrounding territory.
In adherence to our non-profit charter under the Association Loi 1901, every event is entirely free and open to all members of the public without registration barriers or admission fees.
Community Attendance Guidelines & Accessibility
To guarantee an enriching, welcoming experience for all participants, our association applies standard public access protocols across all scheduled activities.
Free & Open Access
No ticketing or mandatory pre-registration is required for standard lectures or walking tours. Seating in lecture halls is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Full Mobility Access
All indoor conference venues in Chauny feature step-free access, elevator facilities, and designated wheelchair areas. Walking tour routes are graded for accessibility.
Family & Student Friendly
Our sessions welcome middle and high school students, university researchers, and families. Complimentary printed activity guide booklets are provided for younger participants.

Volunteer Coordination & Event Operations
Every public gathering organized by Mémoire et Patrimoine Chaunois represents hours of collaborative effort by our volunteer teams. From hall setup and audiovisual testing to guiding tour participants and preparing refreshments, volunteers ensure our events run smoothly and hospitably.
Before each event, our Technical Committee verifies projection acoustics and accessibility features. Our Reception Committee welcomes attendees, distributes complimentary research brochures, and assists individuals with mobility requirements. Following each session, documentation teams archive recording transcripts and attendee feedback to inform future programming.
